Terms and Conditions for The Waterside Cottages.

CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING Guests will be charged a non-refundable booking deposit of 20%, Your deposit is a non-refundable booking fee covering the administrative costs we incur in processing your reservation. The remaining balance will be automatically processed 7 days prior to arrival from the card details supplied. if the reservation is within 7 days of arrival, the balance payment will be immediately processed in full. cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable, 7 days prior to arrival, the remaining balance is processed. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable. In the event the card details provided are declined when processing the balance, and ensuring several unsuccessful attempts are made to contact the guest, we reserve the right to cancel the booking, the deposit will be non-refundable.

For Group Bookings, cancellations will incur the non-refundable booking deposit per cottage cancelled. We advise guests having holiday insurance in place. In the event a guest needs to cancel at the last minute due to changes of circumstance, or any weather which would prevent a guest travelling, holiday insurance is advisable as we cannot resell last minute cancellations or refund/transfer any payments once processed.

ARRIVAL & CHECK IN PROCEDURES. We will notify you with details prior to arrival. Check-in is after 3pm, Check-out is no later than 10am. This is a standard time for rental properties to allow enough time for cleaning. Check In will be on site at your cottage. A lock box is located near the front door of each cottage. prior to arrival you will receive the combination. Pets are not permitted in the Waterside Cottages. We respectfully ask that you do not contact us seeking for pets to stay. Guests will be asked to vacate if pets are in the property.

CLEANING & BED LINENS. The house must be left tidy, otherwise a cleaning charge of €50.00 will be applied. Initial bed linen and towels are supplied. Should you require extra a charge will be applied. 6 x hand towels, 6 x bath towels & 1 x tea towel are supplied, beach towels are not.

CAMPER VANS are not permitted to park on site and subject to clamping fees.The cottages are completely self-catering. We do not provide cleaning supplies, toiletries, coffee pods etc. (We do provide a complimentary starter stock, purely to get you started and not replenished)
COTTAGE LAYOUT AND CAPACITY It is not possible to change the bed layout or provide extra beds. Images of our cottages are sample images from two of our 11 cottages, layout may vary slightly. The max occupancy is 6 guests in all cottages, this cannot be exceeded under any circumstances.

COTS/HIGHCHAIRS. Cots can be provided, please give advance notice to arrange. We supply a top and bottom sheet for this. Highchairs are in every cottage.

UTILITY CHARGES. Electricity Charges are included in our rates *Fair Usage Policy: This applies to electricity usage over each 24-hour period. The agreed rates per 24-hour periods are based on fair usage which allows 10 units per 24-hour period. Excess of these usages are charged as follows: € 0.20 per unit. We ask guests to please conserve energy and only heat rooms in use, turn off heat if not required. Please turn off heat when checking out.

EQUIPMENT AND MAINTENANCE. In the event that any equipment or furniture in a property breaks or malfunctions due to unforeseen circumstances, it may take up to 48 hours for it to be fixed or replaced. However, we will do our best to rectify any issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.

POWER OUTAGE, the cottages do not have a generator. Should we have power outage as a result of esb faults, this is completely beyond our control and cannot offer compensation on this.

RIGHT TO DECLINE. We reserve the right to refuse, alter or cancel a booking, even after receipt of part or final payment. In addition, the company is relieved of all liability should the reserved accommodation not be available due to circumstances beyond our control or any restrictions that are in place with such rate plans. However, no refund or liability will apply to a situation where a guest leaves of their own accord, prior to the expiration of their booking. We will not accommodate hen/stag parties or groups u21, we reserve the right to refuse such parties on arrival and withhold any monies paid.

BEHAVIORS. Rental of the cottage may be terminated with no refund if occupiers behave in a disruptive manner, cause a nuisance or disturbance, endanger the safety or wellbeing of other guests, or cause damage to the property or in any other circumstances deemed reasonable.

SMOKING is not permitted in any of our cottages. Failure to abide by this will result in a cleaning charge of €50.00 for the provision of specialised cleaning services that will be required.LIABILITY. Waterside Cottages and its employees are not responsible for any loss of valuables or property left in the cottage or on site during the stay or on departure We have standard insurance in place within the cottages, but this does not cover the loss or damage of any personal belongings taken into the houses by holidaymakers.
