On this 4 km (2.4 miles) walk along the trails of Arenal National Park we will enter into the tropical forest and areas which were once devastated by the fury of the volcano.
During the hike, it is possible to see a great variety the area’s characteristic flora as the Ceiba Tree, an impotent tree that survived all volcanic activities of the last years, as well we’ll visit more sites of interest the lava slides of 1992 and the large accumulation of solidified volcanic material ejected from the crater of this mighty colossus, during the very active period of that year. On clear days, you will enjoy incredible views of the impressive Arenal Volcano, Arenal Lake, the Tilaran Mountain Range, and Cerro Chato.
Our Naturalist Guide will provide you with important and interesting information about the main characteristics of the volcano, which has been active since 1968 and many other details about all of the things you will encounter along the trail. At the end of the walk we will take a delicious fresh tropical fruit snacks to return to your hotel.
If you choose, you can purchase entrance tickets with us to any of the different hot springs of the area, according to your preference. We will drop you off there after the tour, so you can relax and we will pick you up a couple of hours later to take you back to your hotel.

Our certified naturalist Guides, are experts at locating wildlife and extremely knowledgeable in their field. Arenal area is well known for its very diverse  wildlife, including the two different sloth species living in Costa Rica. During this tour our main goal is to find as many sloths as possible in the wild.
On the search for these beautiful animals our knowledgeable guide will drive you around la Fortuna's beautiful spotting areas for more wildlife. Toucans, Red Blue Jeans Poison Dart Frogs, hummingbirds,  iguanas and monkeys are among the animals that we might encounter. 

The Hanging bridges forest reserve comprises 243 hectares (600 acres) of protected forest. It is ideal for hikers who would like to discover and admire the unique characteristics of the tropical rainforest.
On the 3.1-kilometer (1.9 miles) circuit you will go across 15 impressive bridges, some of them suspended over the forest, and others stationary. The bridges have different lengths and heights and were made with the intention of accessing the flora and fauna from different perspectives as you go through the different levels of the forest.
From these bridges, you will have great views from the heights of the forest’s canopy making it easier to spot birds and animals. The topography of the terrain is relatively easy with some short inclines, making this tour apt for all types of people. Some of the animals that inhabit this type of forest include three species of monkeys, multiple species of birds, serpents, wild boars, frogs, and more.

• This workshop is two hours, in which you will be sitting and standing with Ishmael, moving around his workshop and working together to make chocolate.
• We ask for at least two people in this workshop to help support Ismael, and are flexible to accommodate groups as large as you wish.

The Children's Eternal Rainforest is the largest private reserve in Costa Rica, with an area of 22,500 hectares of protected tropical forest in the
Cordillera de Tilaran, northwestern region of Costa Rica. Here we will find trails through the jungle to walk and discover all the wonders it has.
After a 30-minute trip in a four-wheel truck on mountain roads, we will arrive at the Pocosol station, a scientific center created for the investigation of flora and fauna and located next to a lagoon of volcanic origin. 800 meters above sea level, where we will enjoy seasonal fruits and prepare ourselves to start the adventure.
The purpose of visiting the area is to walk through 4-hour trails (10km), admiring the primary forest, the volcanic soil with its fumaroles, the Pocosol waterfall with a height of more than 80 meters, the observation platform that allows us to See its fall in a canyon river, as well as the incredible flora and fauna including a wide variety of animals, such as wild boar, coatis, agoutis, howler monkeys and many types of birds.
Finishing our adventure with a delicious typical lunch at the reserve station.

Take advantage of our serene location out in the Costa Rican countryside, far away from the noises of town-life, and join us for an amazing bird watching experience. Our guide will lead you walking out from the hotel grounds on an easy-going stroll down secluded paths that are beautiful and accessible to all (the paths are mostly flat and not strenuous). Along the way, we will teach you about the flora and fauna present in the surrounding area, answer your questions, and show you how to sight birds through our guide-provided telescope and binoculars. Who knows, we might even find one of the sloth families that are our neighbors!

We are happy and flexible to schedule this whenever in the day you would like, but our expert recommendation is to go bird-watching either early in the morning or late in the afternoon. These are the two times of day the birds are out eating, and more of their activity means more to spot for us.

During your visit, you will receive a brief introduction about Proyecto Asis from one of our trained naturalist tour guides. Then you will have the opportunity to explore the reserve with our guide to get to know each animal and its story. You will learn about why animal conservation is important, how it should be done, and what impact you are making while enjoying yourself with our friendly guide, who will engage you and help you to think about conservation in a new way. Then you will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare the animals' diet to increase engagement. After preparing the food, you will help us by making enrichment toys that provide a different daily routine for the animals. To follow the directions from our Ministry of Environment, only our staff is allowed to feed the animals. However, this kind of experience is a magnificent way to learn about animal welfare. You will go home with a greater knowledge of the local wildlife.

This activity begins by descending the 500-meter (0.31 miles) trail to the magnificent La Fortuna Waterfall, renowned for its 70 meter (230 feet) high falls and its crystal clear waters. Along the trail, you will observe plants, trees, and animals, which inhabit the area like sloths, toucans, orioles, butterflies, and more. You can choose to swim in its refreshing waters, take amazing photographs, or simply relax and take in all of the beauty of the La Fortuna Waterfall. At the end of the trail we will enjoy a delicious fruit break to recharge our batteries.
When you visit the La Fortuna Waterfall you not only get to enjoy this marvelous natural wonder, you will be helping to support the Development Association of the community. 100% of the entrance fee goes towards social projects to benefit schools, nutritional centers, the orphanage, recycling center, roads, security for our visitors and more.
