The Achaderry Estate in Roy Bridge near Fort William was for many years (until recently) home of  Lord Rankeillour 4th Baron of Buxted and is now owned and run by the Sims family. They said; “We fell in love with the estate as soon as we approached it one day. The spectacular views of Nevis Range were just awesome. We quickly discovered how idyllic the 400-acre estate would be for those seeking a self-catering holiday in the Scottish Highlands. So we set about tastefully restoring the farmhouse, a property dating back to 1859”.

Set in a rural location, the estate boasts ancient woodland and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The farmhouse, cottages and log cabins are children friendly, ideal for families and those with an adventurous spirit looking to explore nearby Ben Nevis and Fort William, as well as a host of other places. These locations are easily accessible from the estate.

The indoor hot tub in the farmhouse is a most welcome extra that is loved by our guests.

For those in a wheelchair, the ground floor (including a bedroom) can be re-arranged so that the user has total accessibility. Please phone for more information on this matter.

Achaderry Farmhouse is let to the public through Achaderry Farm House Ltd. owned by the Sims family.

The other properties are let through Cottage Holidays also owned by the Sims family.

Rowantree View

Cosy up in our 2 bedroom centrally heated, log cabins in the estate. Rowantree Log Cabin has it’s own veranda with garden furniture for four people. Guests of Rowantree Log Cabin are invited to explore our private 400-acre grounds, which has a selection of both woodland and open fields. Our log cabin offers rustic Scottish charm and suit families with children or couples seeking a romantic getaway. As with all our properties the views from the log cabin is spectacular.

The self-catered log cabin comprises of an open space living area with a 32″ Freeview TV and DVD player. The 2 bedrooms (1 double and the other with a full size bunk bed) are fully kitted out. There is also a family shower room. The kitchen comes with all the expected appliances such as an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and fridge. Other features include, gas central heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. There are no meters. Cot and highchair are available upon request. A welcome pack will be available with supporting information. Private parking is available for 2 cars.
