The Achaderry Estate in Roy Bridge near Fort William was for many years (until recently) home of  Lord Rankeillour 4th Baron of Buxted and is now owned and run by the Sims family. They said; “We fell in love with the estate as soon as we approached it one day. The spectacular views of Nevis Range were just awesome. We quickly discovered how idyllic the 400-acre estate would be for those seeking a self-catering holiday in the Scottish Highlands. So we set about tastefully restoring the farmhouse, a property dating back to 1859”.

Set in a rural location, the estate boasts ancient woodland and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The farmhouse, cottages and log cabins are children friendly, ideal for families and those with an adventurous spirit looking to explore nearby Ben Nevis and Fort William, as well as a host of other places. These locations are easily accessible from the estate.

The indoor hot tub in the farmhouse is a most welcome extra that is loved by our guests.

For those in a wheelchair, the ground floor (including a bedroom) can be re-arranged so that the user has total accessibility. Please phone for more information on this matter.

Achaderry Farmhouse is let to the public through Achaderry Farm House Ltd. owned by the Sims family.

The other properties are let through Cottage Holidays also owned by the Sims family.

Eagle’s Ledge Cottage

Eagle’s Ledge Cottage provides great self-catered holiday accommodation in the estate, sleeping up to 6 guests. The cottage itself is set within a 400-acre estate where guests can wander through the many woodland walks and enjoy this peaceful part of Scotland. There is wildlife spotting, walking, cycling, golf and skiing all close-by, as well as Ben Nevis.

The cottage accommodation comprises of 3 bedrooms, 1 double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms all served by a shared family bathroom. There is a spacious living room with patio doors leading to the garden, a formal dining room and a well-equipped kitchen, complete with microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, washing machine and tumble dryer. Beyond the living room, there is a small enclosed garden with patio and garden furniture, so you can soak up the natural unspoiled scenery.

Parking is available on-site for 2 cars.

Please note that check-in is on Saturdays and there is a minimum stay of 4 nights.
