Quinta do Mar is one of those rare finds, it has sumptuous surroundings and is a very special place.
This former winery in the fishing hamlet of Caloura has been tastefully renovated/extended and brought back to life by its current owners, Chris and Nick, resulting in a blend of tasteful, modern spaces and original features.
Opened in 2005, the Quinta offers very comfortable rooms, secluded terraces and relaxing common areas and gardens with short walking paths through the hillside land at the rear of the property offering spectacular views.
Our popular English style breakfasts are served in the Pavilion set above the pool. This is a large shaded area perfect for relaxing. Here guests can enjoy a selection of drinks from our self service 'honesty bar'. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided here, complimentary cakes and cookies are available, perfect after a long hike! There are views over the orange grove to the ocean and the 'Ilheu de Vila Franca'.
Here there is a wood burning pizza oven, Pizza dinners are available on certain pre-arranged days.
There are four large en-suite bedrooms, all rooms have king size or twin beds, hardwood flooring, marble bathrooms with bath and shower. A private balcony with sea view, air conditioning, TV, direct dial telephone. There is free WiFi in all the public areas and pool/garden.
Plenty of off road parking is available at the front of the property.
