SALT HOUSE is a private accommodation reserved for one group at a time.
Located on Hakata Island along the Shimanami Kaido, this unique property is a self-renovated, 80-year-old former dental clinic, offering a relaxed and authentic island atmosphere.

[Area Access Rule based on Group Size]
To provide a more affordable rate for smaller groups, we adjust the accessible areas of the house based on the number of guests:

• For 1–3 Guests:
  You have full access to the main living area, the large shared kitchen, the 1st-floor family bath, and the 2nd-floor Master Bedroom (which has its own private shower and toilet).
  *Please note: The 2nd-floor Japanese-style room (12-tatami) and the Picture Book Corner will be restricted.
• For 4–8 Guests:
  The entire house, including the 2nd-floor Japanese-style room and the Picture Book Corner, will be fully opened. Having two sets of showers and washbasins ensures a comfortable stay for larger groups.

Pricing
Our rates are based on the number of guests. A base rate applies for up to 3 guests, and an additional person fee applies from the 4th guest onwards.

Bedrooms

• 2nd Floor: Master Bedroom (Japanese–Western style)
  Equipped with 2 single beds and 2 futon sets. This room includes a private shower, washbasin, and toilet.
  *Available for all bookings (1–8 guests).
• 2nd Floor: Japanese-style Room (12-tatami)
  Futons can be prepared for 2–4 guests.
  *Available for bookings of 4 or more guests.

*About the 1st-floor multipurpose room:
Connected to the kitchen, this space is available to all guests. Depending on the number of guests or upon request, this room can also be prepared as an additional sleeping area.

(Privacy & On-site Management)
We respect our guests’ privacy and do not have staff permanently on-site. However, certain areas are designated for staff-only management/storage. For facility maintenance, safety checks, or security, staff may enter shared areas when necessary. Security cameras are installed near the entrance for your safety. Thank you for your understanding.
