[ Guest House U-en]

”Guest House U-en” was built as a sake brewery in 1910, but it began to be used as a Japanese-style restaurant (ryotei) from the 1955s. The over 120-year-old traditional wooden townhouse was reborn as a guest house. It's rare that it has still remained the atmosphere it was built in Osaka city. Meeting people is the best part of traveling, but sometimes people need the place where you can truly relax, and we offer such a place. We offer private rooms where can accommodate 1- 4 people and shared rooms. We have shared restrooms and shower rooms. In addition our building is very old, and it isn't soundproof at all, so you can hear everything. Please kindly understand this matter.

[CHECK-IN] 03:00pm,〜10:00pm, (Only on Sundays from 03:00 p.m. to 08:00 p.m.)

The Cafe Space will serve as the check-in desk. ("Akutagawacoffee," ”芥川珈琲” cafe name)

*Our latest check-in time is 10pm. No arrival is allowed after that. There is no curfew after checking in. If you are arriving at Kansai International airport after 8:30pm on your check in date, please book another place for the first night.

[ CANCELLATION POLICY ]
Cancellation from 3 days before to on the day & No show : 100％ (full dates of booking)
*Please understand that this is a small scale facility, so all cancellations are significant to us.
You will be charged under on circumstances(Ex: transportation delay/cancel, bad weather).

[ PAYMENT ]
Customers paying on arrival will be automatically charged on their credit card within the cancellation period prior to checking in,
so you don't have to pay on your arrival.
If your card is invalid, we will ask you to rebook with correct credit card information.

[ LUGGAGE STORAGE ] Welcome to Early check-in from 10am-

If you arrive before 3 p.m., we will store your luggage in the café ("Akutagawacoffee") on the first floor of our building, and we will give you a password so that you can return home at any time, 24 hours a day.

You can access the room before 3 p.m. if it has already been cleaned.

※Please note you can't check into the building before 10am as the reception is still closed.

Groups of 7+ people can not book our hostel.
Mixed dormitory room : groups of 7+ people can not book in this room.
Female dormitory room: groups of 3+ people can not book in this room.
[ TRAVELING WITH SMALL KIDS ]
Bed-sharing kids are welcome at the private rooms. JPY1000 will be charged per 1 child if they are 3 years of age and older. One bed-sharing kid is acceptable per one adult.
Please note that it will be so tight for bed-sharing in Twin room and Double room.

12-beds (MIX) Mixed Dormitory Room

Mixed dormitory are able to accommodate a maximum of 12 people.
Single bed in cubical with curtain.
The bed is long, so even if you are tall, you will be able to sleep comfortably.
This capsule bed helps you to enjoy your "Me Time".
Many female guests also use this room, so it is safe for female guests.
It is a good idea to stay in this room, if couples want to stay at a cheap place.
There is a small security deposit box, light, power outlet, mirror and shelve.

牡丹/百合(FAFB) 4名女性専用 Dormitory for female-only

We have 2 female dormitories room.
These dormitories are female only and are able to accommodate a maximum of 4 people per rooms.
These rooms are Japanese style with tatami mats.
Single bed in cubical with curtain.
You can keep your private life.
There is a small security deposit box.
There is a light, power outlet, mirror and shelve.

椿(TA) ツイン Twin Room

Private room (2 people)

This room can accommodate 1-2 people in a private room.
It is Japanese style with tatami mats.
2 sets of Japanese style futon
It is bout 5 tatami mat size, so it's cozy room.
Shower rooms, toilets, and washbowls are shared with other guests.

Private Single room (1 people)

This room can accommodate 1 people in a private room.
It is Japanese style with tatami mats.
1 set of Japanese style futon
It is about 3.5 tatami mat size, so it's cozy room.
This room is great for singles.
Shower rooms, toilets, and washbowls are shared with other guests.

Private room (2 people)

Western style single room with bunk beds.
The room is small 4 tatami mats big (approx. 7.29 square meters/78.5 square feet), and it has large size comfortable beds.
Each bed has a bedside lamp, plug, and shelf.
Perfect for couples and groups.
Shower rooms, toilets, and washbowls are shared with other guests.
