Experience a Soul-Soothening "Life in Hakodate" at Our Hidden Retreat.

I have transformed my own beloved home—a place I’ve cherished for years—into a private guesthouse for you to enjoy. Step away from the tourist crowds and into the peaceful embrace of a local neighborhood. Here, you can feel the gentle sea breeze and spend your days as if you’ve always lived in this beautiful city.

The kitchen and bathroom on the first floor have been fully renovated into a modern, sleek space.
In December 2025, we added a new toilet and vanity to the second floor, making the stay even more comfortable for families and groups.

Ideally located just steps away from Hakodate Park and the foot of Mt. Hakodate, the area still retains its charming, old-world atmosphere. Within a 10-minute walk, you’ll find the Mt. Hakodate Ropeway, tram stations, cozy cafes, local izakayas, and convenience stores, making it the perfect base for exploring the historic Motomachi area.
We invite you to experience a special moment in Hakodate, where modern amenities meet the warmth of a true home.

A Timeless Hakodate Retreat

Experience "Japanese Modern" Elegance in a Renovated 80-Year-Old Kimono Shop

We have transformed a historic kimono shop, standing for over 80 years, into a sophisticated vacation rental (Minpaku) in 2019.

To us, "Minpaku" means staying as if you were a local resident of the city. All our guest rooms are fully equipped with a kitchen, shower room, bidet toilet, as well as cooking utensils and tableware. You can enjoy a rich, flavorful time with your precious family and friends, cooking seasonal seafood freshly sourced from the nearby morning market.

At Cordis, we are dedicated to providing warm hospitality that ensures our guests heartfully enjoy Hakodate and feel a longing to return once more.

While preserving the charming atmosphere of this historic building, we offer a spacious and relaxing environment perfect for families and groups. We look forward to welcoming you.
