OceanEye is a peaceful, modern bed&breakfast tucked away in nature on a 4-acre property in southern Sri Lanka. The infinity pool overlooks the large jungle garden, with no neighbours in sight. Rooms are minimalistic and bright with private bathrooms and balconies. The guestbuilding features a shared sunken sofa, while the main house features the infinity pool, sun deck with bean loungers, dining table and the breakfast area. Our covered yoga shala is perfect for yoga, working out and fitness. We also have an icebath that can be filled on request. The garden is frequently visited by colourful birds, eagles, monkeys, lizards, etc.

Relax in a north-facing bigger room on ground floor with private entrance. This is our biggest bedroom with a king-size bed, private balcony and ensuite bathroom. The room also features a wardrobe, full-length mirror, high quality mattress and linen, ceiling fan, mosquito net, towels and toiletries, free wifi and garden views.

We are a small family who own and run OceanEye, passionate about nature and scuba diving (come scuba dive with us!). Here you can enjoy the many beaches, enjoy a massage, watch wildlife in the garden, eat local and western food, read a good book, visit temples, go kayaking, simply relax and more. OceanEye is located a bit away from the towns, so we recommend hiring a scooter or tuktuk to explore the area.

Surrounded by jungle all the rooms are somewhat open to nature. The rooms have ensuite bathrooms, quality beds and linen, towels, ceiling fans, free wifi and breakfast. We do not have hot water, but most days the sun will keep the water warm anyway (solar panels are in the plan). Allow yourself to just be and relax at OceanEye. Surround yourself with nature, take in the small everyday details and calm that busy mind.

OceanEye is located between Tangalle and Dikwella, approximately 2 km inland from Mawella beach. It takes about 10 minutes drive to Tangalle by tuktuk/scooter, 20 minutes to Hiriketiya/Dikwella. Restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and ATMs are available within 10 minutes drive. Small food shacks can be found on the way to Tangalle as well.
