CHECK IN: Rooms 3:00 PM, Cottages 2:00 PM. Check in before 1:00 PM may be available for a fee.
CHECK OUT: Rooms 11:00 AM, Cottages 10:00 AM. Later checkout times may be available for a fee.
PAYMENT: Payment of your balance is due 48 hours prior to arrival or when booked if less than 48 hours in advance. We accept all major credit cards, traveler's checks and cash. All guests need to have a security deposit by credit card authorization or cash on file. Except for security deposits, all deposits and payments are nonrefundable and nontransferable. We do not refund for early departure or late arrival. Please refer to your confirmation for additional information regarding payment and cancellation policies.
SMOKING: Lakeside’s indoor areas are SMOKE-FREE and it is a POT-FREE property. Individuals may not smoke, vape, burn candles or incense in our lodging accommodations. Lakeside does NOT allow marijuana leaves, seeds, oils or smoke. Leave your marijuana products in your vehicle. Failure to follow these policies will result in a substantial increase to your daily rate guests will be asked to leave without refund.
PETS: Well-mannered pets (dogs only) are welcomed with management approval. $15 per pet per night. Pets must be registered and attended at all times. No more than 2 pets per room. No pets allowed in 2 bedroom cottages. In order to make sure all of our guests feel comfortable, the following pet policies are strictly enforced:
Pets must be registered at check in! Pets are only allowed in the room that they are registered to. Pets are allowed at the discretion of management.
Pets must be attended at all times.
Pets outside must be on a leash held by a human in control of the animal at all times. Retractable leashes must be lockable at a length no longer than 6 feet.
Pets may not be “tied out” or allowed to run loose at any time.
No barking or other aggressive behavior toward other guests or pets is allowed.
Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds. Dogs must be housebroken; we do not allow indoor pee-pee pads.
Pets are not allowed on the shared patio behind the motel units. Motel guests must use their front door ONLY with their pet(s).
Pets are restricted from the south half of the property, including the south waterfront (to the right of the dock) and by the pavilion if there are any other guests in the area. The north waterfront and north meadow are available to pets. We know your pet is enjoyable to you, but please respect other guests choice to enjoy the area "pet-free".
Pets must be toileted on a 6-foot leash in the designated pet areas: to the left of the big sign near the road, and in the meadow
on the north end of the property.
Guests are responsible to clean up after their pets. Please dispose of pet waste appropriately, do not leave it for other guests to step in while enjoying the property. "Pet area" does not mean waste can be left there - it must be disposed of.
Please do not allow your dog to urinate on the building, trees or shrubs.
Guests are responsible for any damage to persons or property caused by their pet:
Pet owners accept full responsibility for any and all liability, claims, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) for personal injury or property damage caused by their pet(s), and agree to make reimbursement for such damages on demand.
Pet owners agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Lakeside Motel & Cottages, its owners, agents and employees from any and all liability, claims, losses, costs, and expenses, (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or relating to any claim for personal injury or property damage caused by their pet
Pet owners must have a credit card authorization and/or cash security deposit on file.
If we need to clean up after your pet you will be subject to an additional cleaning charge and/or the loss of your security deposit.
Guests and their pets not following these policies will be asked to leave without refund.
Guests are responsible for unusual cleaning fees and damage. Guests are required to clean up after their pets. Guests will be asked to leave without refund if the Pet Policies are not followed.

ROOMS: Rooms typically have a 48 hour cancellation deadline (6 PM two days before arrival). Your reservation is guaranteed with your credit card payment and your room will be held for you until 9 AM the day after your scheduled arrival. Reservations made after 6:00 PM two days before arrival require a full non-refundable payment. In this case, your card will be charged at the time of reservation.
Note: A $100 security deposit hold is required on arrival. Your card will be authorized 48 hours before your stay. Your security deposit will be refunded after departure when the accommodations have been checked by management.
COTTAGES: Cottages have a 2-night minimum reservation and require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Cottage reservations made after 6 PM, two days prior to arrival require a full non-refundable pre-payment. Your card will be charged when your confirmation is issued. Cottages are held until 9 AM the day following your scheduled arrival. A $100 security deposit is required. No Pets in 2 bedroom Cottages.
SPECIAL events, holiday periods, groups and extended stays may have a longer cancellation deadline, minimum stay requirements, deposit and cancellation charges. Contact us for more information or refer to your confirmation email.
*If your plans change and you need to cancel, you must call us before 6:00 PM Eastern Time of the day of the cancellation deadline or payment will be due and your card will be charged for your reservation. Weekends and holiday periods from May through September may have different cancellation policies, please refer to your confirmation email. There are no refunds for early departure after CHECKIN. For reservations made after the cancellation deadline, the cancel fee is equal to your non-refundable pre-payment. If you do call to cancel, remember to retain the cancellation number we give you as proof of your call. We are not able to process email cancellations.
DEPOSITS: Except for security deposits, all deposits and payments are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
