IORI STUDIO ROOM is a studio-type accommodation, occupying the second floor of a renovated traditional townhouse, ideally located just a three-minute walk from Hida-Takayama Station.
Despite its central location, stepping inside reveals a private retreat defined by natural materials and the refined aesthetics of Hida craftsmanship. The atmosphere is calm and intimate, offering a quiet place to relax and unwind.
The bathroom is equipped with modern amenities, featuring a bathtub crafted from locally sourced Hida cypress. Unusually for a bathroom, the walls are finished with traditional plasterwork, expressing a distinctly Hida character.
A luxurious bed and blackout blinds ensure a restful and comfortable night’s sleep.
In the morning, guests can enjoy a Japanese breakfast prepared with seasonal ingredients from the Hida region.
Unlike IORI’s exclusive whole-house stays, the IORI STUDIO ROOM is directly connected to a guest-only lounge on the ground floor. Guests have full access to a shared yet private lounge equipped with a kitchen, fireplace, seating, terrace, and work area, available whenever needed. The space is also suitable for solo travelers and guests planning a workation .
