Welcome to the Wizarding Residence, set on The West Bow which was J K Rowlings Inspiration for Diagon Alley. The apartment is right on The Grassmarket which is in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town and the City Centre. You can walk to Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, Princes Street and so much more in a matter of minutes. There are local conveniences and supermarkets all within walking distance as well as bus links to the Airport and Train Stations.

The apartment has been well thought out taking inspiration from the Harry Potter books which are based on parts of Edinburgh are were written around the corner in the Elephant House coffee shop.

The Wizard of West Bow once lived in this street in the 1600s, an infamous person in Edinburgh's history who led the town guard and was arrested after accusations of witchcraft!

The Largest room takes inspiration from the grand halls of Hogwarts, with walls covered in antique portrait wallpaper, a grand stag chandelier and some luggage that could be from the Hogwarts Express! There is a full kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and everything you need to make a proper meal

The bedroom takes inspiration from Hagrid's Hut as well as the whomping willow and forests around Hogwarts. The bed frame is a 4 poster bed made from tree branches with forest wallpaper and modern amenities such as a smart TV. The bed is a UK-sized small double.

The bathroom takes inspiration from Gringotts Bank, with a vault-style door and a floor made of money! There is a large walk-in shower, washbasin and WC.

The hallway has a secret cupboard hidden behind the long mirror for coat storage.

Sofa Bed Use

If you are booking for 3 guests, the sofa bed charge will be automatically included by Airbnb. Just make sure to enter the correct number of guests when booking so we can have the extra linen ready for your stay. Please note, the total price will adjust based on the number of guests.

If you are a group of 2 guests but would like to use the sofa bed, there is an extra charge of £10 per night (minimum £30) to cover the additional linen, laundry, and cleaning. If this applies to you, just let us know when you book so we can prepare everything in advance.

Location

Please keep in mind that this flat is situated right in the heart of Edinburgh, in the Grassmarket area. There may be some unexpected noise at night. Please bear that in mind if you are a light sleeper, thank you
