Guests may cancel the accommodation contract at their discretion by notifying the hotel, except for plans that the hotel does not allow changes or cancellations for the convenience of the guest. In this case, the hotel will charge the following penalty fees.
・Cancellation 7 days prior to check-in: no penalty
・Cancellation 6 days prior to check-in: 50% of the room charge
・Cancellation 1 day prior to check-in: 100% of the room charge

If the guest does not arrive at the hotel by 10:00 p.m. on the day of stay (or 2 hours after the scheduled arrival time, if such time has been specified in advance) without prior notice, the hotel may deem the accommodation contract to have been cancelled by the guest.

At MIDORI.so Nihonbashi, in order to provide safe and comfortable use for all guests, we have established the following Terms of Use based on Article 10 of our Accommodation Regulations. Your cooperation is appreciated. Failure to comply may result in refusal of stay or facility use, and in some cases, requiring you to bear the cost of any damage incurred.

## 1. Scope of Application

1. These terms apply to all visitors using any part of the facility (accommodation, premises, etc.—collectively, “on-site facilities”). Matters not specified here are governed by our Accommodation Regulations.
2. For clarity within these terms, “members” refers to registered overnight guests, while “guests” refers to users of POPIN.

## 2. Bed Usage

1. Emergency exit maps are posted on the back of each floor’s entrance door—please review them.
2. When in the bed area, especially at bedtime, please close the curtains.
3. All beds are strictly non-smoking. Any form of smoking—including e-cigarettes—is prohibited throughout the facility. Please use designated outdoor smoking areas.
4. You may not use any open flames (e.g. heating stoves, cooking devices, candles) in bed or elsewhere onsite without permission.
5. Eating in bed is prohibited.
6. Beds may not be used for business or exhibition purposes without permission.
7. Without permission, you may not move furnishings, install decorations, or modify the bed’s layout. You may be required to compensate for any loss or damage. Small items and fixtures must not be taken outside the bed area, and nothing that detracts from the exterior view may be placed at the windows.
8. No visitors are allowed in bed areas after hours.
9. Long-term stay does not confer tenancy or housing rights under any residential tenancy laws.
10. Only registered guests may use the beds.
11. Minors under 18 may not stay without parental consent.
12. Smoking or any contamination in the bed area may result in additional cleaning or repair charges.

## 3. Use of Other On-site Facilities

1. The facility combines coworking and accommodation. From 10 :00 to 18 :00, office users may use the lounge and beds. Please store any belonging of members in storage areas (valuables should be secured in lockers). Except when you have specifically registered for shared office and stay, beds are generally not available during these hours.
2. From 18:00 onward, members may use beds. During these hours, non-members are not permitted in member-only areas (floors 3 and 4). Guests may use the café on floor 1 and the lounge on floor 2 only.
3. Shared kitchen, shower, and hairdryer facilities may be used from check-in until 1:30 AM, and again from 7:00 AM until check-out. For unavoidable exceptions, please consult the Community Officer.
4. Members may use facility amenities from 18:00 on the check-in date until 9:30 on check-out day. Please consult us if you wish to use the facilities outside these hours.
5. Intentional or accidental damage or removal of facility equipment may result in charges for repair or replacement.

## 4. Code of Conduct

1. All users must comply with staff instructions. Refusal may result in expulsion.
2. Generally, from 22:00 to 8:00, entry and exit are permitted only to contracted users.
3. Smoking is prohibited indoors. Please use designated outdoor smoking areas.
4. Please dispose of waste according to facility sorting rules.
5. Anyone who drinks alcohol on-site may not drive a car or bicycle.
6. No dangerous or legally prohibited items may be brought onto the premises.
7. The entire facility is lights‑out at 2:00 AM. Aside from reading lights, all lights in private rooms must be turned off. After 23:00, please refrain from noise to avoid disturbing others.

## 5. Valuables and Stored Items

1. Safes (free of charge) are available for valuables, cash, securities, etc. We are not responsible for loss or theft of valuables not stored therein. We do not accept artworks, antiques, furs, or other fragile items. Safes are available during your stay only; unreturned keys may incur replacement and storage fees. We do not hold responsibility for items lost within the safe.
2. The front desk does not accept cash, valuables, securities, perishable or fragile items. Loss, theft, or damage in these items is not covered.
3. Items accepted by staff will be returned at check-in; we bear no responsibility after return.
4. Lost-and-found items are held onsite for 7 days from discovery, then delivered to the nearest police station.
5. Storage period for retained items is 7 days unless otherwise specified; unclaimed items are considered abandoned thereafter.

## 6. Member Online Community Rules

1. We operate an online chat group for members to exchange information and interact. Please follow the rules below to maintain a pleasant environment for all.
2. Purpose of the chat:
- Sharing facility events and recommendations
- Casual interaction or information exchange (e.g. sightseeing info, meal invites)
- Light inquiries or troubleshooting (for emergencies, contact staff directly)
3. How to join: see instructions in the reservation confirmation email, or ask staff at check-in.
4. Prohibited conduct:
- Promotional or sales content
- Personal attacks or defamation
- Discussion of sensitive topics (politics, religion)
- Unnecessary notifications during quiet hours (22:00‑8:00); early-departure notices should be considerate
- Sharing personal information without consent (e.g. photos of others)
5. Staff will participate to provide guidance or reminders and may remove posts deemed inappropriate without warning. Disruptive members may be removed at staff discretion.
6. You may leave the group anytime. You may also remain after check-out if you wish.

## 7. Tours

1. MIDORI.so and organizers accept no liability for accidents, injuries, illness, theft, loss, natural disasters, transport delays, or other unforeseeable events during tours.
2. Participants are responsible for their own participation and are strongly advised to purchase travel and accident insurance.

## 8. Liability

1. We do not assume responsibility for any disputes between facility users. Please resolve issues directly with the parties involved.

## 9. Organized Crime and Public Order

1. Use by members or affiliates of designated criminal organizations (under the Anti-Organized Crime Act, effective March 1, 1992) is strictly prohibited. If discovered before or during your stay, you will be refused entry.
2. Use by anti-social forces or their affiliates is prohibited. Discovery before or during your stay will result in refusal.
3. Any acts of violence, threats, coercion, or similar behavior will result in immediate refusal of service. Past offenders are also prohibited.
4. Individuals unable to ensure their own safety due to physical or mental impairment, drugs, alcohol, or who may endanger others will be refused service.
5. Loud noise, singing, uproar, gambling, or public indecency will result in refusal of service. Any similar disruptive behavior is prohibited.

## 10. Other Prohibited Conduct

1. Gambling or disorderly conduct.
2. Loud noise, singing, or uproar causing disturbance.
3. Poor personal hygiene or attire that may disturb other guests.
4. Using beds or facility areas for non‑accommodation purposes without permission.
5. Bringing items that may disturb others into facility areas.
6. Damaging, relocating, or modifying facility property without permission, or removing them from premises.
7. Distributing advertisements, flyers, sales solicitations, signage, or fundraising materials without permission.
8. Using onsite photography for commercial purposes without permission.
9. Any other behavior deemed inappropriate by the facility.
